The event took place over two mornings on 18 June and 25 June, 2020.\u00a0 Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, the event was held online.\r\n\r\nThe goal of the workshop was to deepen participants\u2019 understanding of the World Heritage nomination process and to give them as much information as possible to assist with filling in their application forms for inclusion on the Tentative List.\r\n\r\nThe event was well-attended from across Ireland and also included Gerry Osmond, Director of Arts and Heritage, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.\r\n\r\nThe following presentations were made on 18 June 2020:\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Gr\u00e1inne Shaffrey, President ICOMOS Ireland gave the first presentation where she set the context for the workshops and the role of ICOMOS (Ireland). Her presentation can be found <span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ffffff;\"><a style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; color: #ffffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.worldheritageireland.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/No_1_GShaffrey_presentation.pptx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Dr Brendan Dunford (Manager, Burren Programme) presented on community participation in site management.
